JOB DESCRIPTION
- Ensure all media briefs are accurate before being sent to the Buying Team or Practices.
- Create and develop a strategic framework that delivers on the client's objectives.
- Start to foster relationships with the clients where the planner is respected for their media skills and ability to add value to the effectiveness of clients’ media investment.
- Working with & promoting services of Public Media's Practices to clients (Content, Data Science, Commerce, Exchange)
- Responsible for the day-to-day workings of the client team in conjunction with the Media Director offering support, training, and insight to team members
- Participating & leading new business pitches
- Help the team as required, e.g., perform competitive analysis, answering direct information requests, evaluation of media options
- Work with the Buying Team to provide them with an investment brief, collaborate in the development of implementation plan, liaise with them regarding any issues on on-going plans
- Undertake additional projects beyond client responsibilities as requested, e.g. help on new business, analysis for overseas offices
- Grow and develop the strategic thinking capabilities of the team
- Oversee and be responsible for the smooth running of all client/supplier and inter-departmental relationships
Minimum Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree
- MBA is a plus
- 6+ years of progressive levels of responsibility in media planning, buying, and management
- Added skills for the role; Excellent use of Excel and other Microsoft packages
- A good appreciation of what working within advertising involves.
