Job Summary
- We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Network Engineer with 5–7 years of experience in designing, implementing, and maintaining complex network infrastructures.
- The ideal candidate will have extensive hands-on experience with Sophos firewalls, along with a strong background in network security, LAN/WAN technologies, and troubleshooting. We are looking for a candidate with experience in Huawei WiFi and switches
Key Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and maintain enterprise network infrastructure to ensure high availability and security.
- Administer and manage Sophos firewalls, including rule creation, VPN setup, firmware upgrades, logging, and reporting.
- Configure and troubleshoot routers, switches, firewalls, and wireless access points.
- Monitor network performance and proactively identify and resolve issues.
- Ensure compliance with IT security policies and procedures.
- Perform regular network risk assessments and apply mitigation strategies.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on new implementations and integrations.
- Maintain network documentation including diagrams, configurations, and SOPs.
- Provide Level 2/3 technical support for network-related incidents and service requests.
- Plan and execute network upgrades, patches, and backups.
Key Requirements
- 5 - 7 years of experience in network engineering or IT infrastructure roles.
- Proven expertise with Sophos firewall technologies (XG, XGS series).
- Strong understanding of TCP/IP, VLANs, VPNs, NAT, routing protocols (BGP, OSPF), and wireless networking.
- We are looking for a candidate with experience in Huawei WiFi and switches, which is a must have for the candidate applying.
- Experience with network monitoring and analysis tools (e.g., Wireshark, PRTG, SolarWinds).
- Working knowledge of security best practices, firewall policies, and access controls.
- Familiarity with cloud networking (AWS, Azure) is a plus.
- Experience with other firewall solutions (e.g., Fortinet, Palo Alto) is a bonus.
