Job Details
- Systems and Servers configuration and installation.
- Installing and configuring computer hardware operating systems and applications;
- Troubleshooting system and network problems and diagnosing and solving hardware/software faults;
- Manage network servers and technology tools.
- Monitor performance and maintain systems according to requirements.
- Server Maintenance including compliance of all required processes and procedures.
- Understanding and installation of LAN, WAN and External Line Plant.
- Understanding and installation of Earthing and Grounding/Lightning arrestor systems
- Maintenance and repairs of computer systems, peripherals, ELP and LAN machineries/tools.
- Adopt and implement a detailed maintenance plan, which is designed to minimize if not eliminate all unplanned equipment outages.
- Providing support, including procedural documentation and relevant reports;
- Responding within agreed time limits to call-outs; Preparing reports as required;
- Working continuously on a task until completion (or referral to third parties, if appropriate);
- Assisting in troubleshooting and repair of telecoms equipment e.g. Fusion Splicer’s and OTDRs etc;
- Repairs of electrical equipment and system power components;;
- Upgrade systems with new releases and models.
- Develop expertise to train staff on new technologies.
