Role Description
- We are seeking an experienced Shopify Developer to design, develop, and maintain high-performing Shopify e-commerce stores. The ideal candidate will be proficient in Shopify's ecosystem, including Liquid coding, and capable of integrating third-party applications to enhance functionality. You will collaborate with designers, marketers, and project managers to deliver solutions that drive user engagement and sales.
Key Responsibilities
Store Development and Customization
- Develop responsive Shopify websites using Shopify’s templating language (Liquid), HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
- Customize themes and templates to align with brand identity and improve user experience.
- Optimize site performance and ensure compatibility across devices and browsers.
- App Integration and Functionality EnhancementIntegrate third-party apps and APIs to enhance store functionality.
- Develop custom Shopify apps or plugins as needed for unique business requirements.
- Maintain, update, and troubleshoot existing integrations and features.
UX/UI Collaboration
- Work closely with designers to translate wireframes and mockups into functional Shopify websites.
- Implement intuitive user interfaces that improve navigation and shopping experiences.
Site Optimization and SEO
- Optimize websites for speed, performance, and SEO best practices.
- Implement schema markup and SEO-friendly features to boost search engine rankings.
Testing and Debugging
- Conduct thorough testing to ensure websites are error-free and function as intended.
- Identify and resolve bugs, technical issues, or bottlenecks promptly.
E-Commerce Strategy Support
- Collaborate with marketing and sales teams to implement campaigns, product launches, and seasonal updates.
- Provide technical insights for improving conversions and customer engagement
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Shopify Developer, with a strong portfolio of Shopify websites.
- Proficiency in Shopify's Liquid language and Shopify Plus experience (preferred).
- Strong skills in HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, and jQuery.
- Familiarity with Shopify’s APIs, GraphQL, and third-party app integration.
- Experience with version control systems like Git.
- Knowledge of web performance optimization, cross-browser compatibility, and responsive design.
- Familiarity with SEO best practices for e-commerce sites.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and manage deadlines.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Web Development, or a related field.
- Experience with payment gateways, shipping systems, and other e-commerce functionalities.
