FATE Foundation is a not-for-profit organisation established in March 2000 by Fola Adeola (Co-Founder & Pioneer MD/CEO, GTBank) with a mission is to foster wealth creation by promoting business and entrepreneurial development among Nigerians. Job Summary:
- The Social Media Intern will support the Marketing and Communications team in implementing social media strategies to achieve FATE Foundation’s marketing objectives. This includes creating and posting engaging content, managing social media channels, monitoring performance metrics, and assisting in the execution of campaigns to strengthen the foundation’s online presence, grow its audience, and drive engagement.
Roles & Responsibilities:
- Create and curate engaging content (written, visual, and video) to enhance brand awareness and drive engagement
- Manage FATE Foundation’s social media platforms, including Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, LinkedIn, and YouTube.
- Brainstorm, plan, and execute social media campaigns to increase engagement, website traffic, and conversions.
- Track, analyze, and report social media metrics, such as engagement rates, follower growth, impressions, and campaign results.
- Create visuals (graphics, videos) to support the campaign
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree or HND in any field.
- Expertise with social media platforms (Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, LinkedIn, TikTok, etc.) and their best practices.
- Basic understanding of social media analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics, Hootsuite, Sprout Social, etc.).
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with attention to detail.
- Creativity and willingness to experiment with new content and ideas.
- Knowledge of current trends in social media and online marketing.
- Ability to multitask and work well in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
- Basic design skills (using tools like Canva, Adobe Spark, or Photoshop) is a plus.
Experience:
- No professional experience required; however, experience managing personal or small-scale social media accounts (e.g., blogs, Instagram, or TikTok) is a plus.
- Experience with content creation, such as writing captions, designing graphics, or shooting photos/videos for social media is advantageous, indicate your area of expertise while applying
- Some experience with scheduling tools or social media management platforms is a bonus.
