Job Description
- We are seeking a creative and passionate Social Media Manager to oversee our art gallery’s online presence.
- The ideal candidate will have a strong appreciation for art, storytelling, and digital marketing.
- They will be responsible for managing social media platforms, engaging with the community, and developing strategies to increase visibility, attendance, and sales for exhibitions and events.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement a social media strategy to promote the gallery’s exhibitions, events, and artists.
- Manage and maintain Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, TikTok, LinkedIn, and other relevant platforms with engaging content.
- Create, schedule, and post visually compelling images, videos, and stories showcasing artworks, behind-the-scenes moments, artist interviews, and exhibition previews.
- Engage with followers, respond to messages and comments, and foster an interactive and supportive art-loving community.
- Collaborate with curators, artists, and marketing teams to create content that aligns with the gallery’s brand and vision.
- Plan and execute paid social media campaigns to increase attendance at exhibitions and events.
- Monitor social media trends and analytics to optimize engagement and reach.
- Coordinate live-streaming events, virtual tours, and artist takeovers on social media.
- Work with influencers, art bloggers, and media outlets to promote the gallery.
- Track social media performance and prepare monthly reports with insights and recommendations for improvement.
- Perform any other duties assisgned by the management.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Art History, or a related field (preferred).
- Proven experience as a Social Media Manager, preferably in an art gallery, museum, or creative industry.
- Strong understanding of visual storytelling and branding for art and culture.
- Proficiency in social media tools like Hootsuite, Later, Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, or similar design platforms.
- Excellent writing and communication skills with a passion for art and creativity.
- Ability to analyze social media metrics and adjust strategies accordingly.
- Experience in photography, videography, or basic graphic design is a plus.
- Familiarity with the art market, trends, and artist communities is a bonus.
