We are looking for a creative and strategic Social Media Specialist to develop and implement a comprehensive social media strategy that aligns with our Academy\'s goals and objectives. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing our social media presence, creating engaging content, and growing our online community.
Job Responsibilities:
- Develop and Implement Social Media Strategy: Create a comprehensive social media strategy that aligns with the club\'s/league\'s goals and objectives.
- Manage Social Media Presence: Oversee the day-to-day management of our social media accounts, including Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, YouTube, and TikTok.
- Content Creation: Develop and curate high-quality, engaging content that resonates with our target audience, including graphics, videos, and captions.
- Content Calendar: Plan, schedule, and publish content in advance using a content calendar.
- Engage with Online Community: Respond to comments, messages, and reviews on social media in a timely and professional manner. Take deliberate steps to convert leads to customers.
- Grow Online Community: Implement strategies to grow our online community, including contests, giveaways, and influencer partnerships.
- Monitor Analytics: Track and analyze social media metrics, including engagement rates, follower growth, and website traffic.
- Collaborate with Cross-Functional Teams: Work closely with the marketing, communications, and commercial teams to ensure alignment and maximize impact.
- Stay Up-to-Date with Industry Trends: Stay current with the latest social media trends, platforms, and best practices.
Requirements:
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, or a related field.
- Experience: Minimum 3-5 years of experience in social media marketing, preferably in the sports industry.
Skills:
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- You must have proven work experience in Football industry, sports or NGO
- Strong understanding of social media platforms and their respective audiences
- Ability to create high-quality, engaging content
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines
- Experience with social media management tools, such as Hootsuite or Sprout Social
- Relevant certifications is an added advantage
