JOB DESCRIPTION
Mission/ Core purpose of the Job
- The Specialist - Presales & Order Management will support Sales, Commercial and Product teams with customer facing technical solutions pertaining to all the Products under the CPaaS, UCaaS, CCaaS categories. It also includes the responsibility to plan, design and dimension customer facing solutions riding on Bayobab platforms including Bearer Voice, SMS, Signalling, IP networks, IPX, API, WhatsApp for Business, IOT and associated feature sets.
- The role will support Sales teams on technical aspects of tailor-made solutions to best fit customer needs, optimizing capacity, resource utilization and timeliness of service delivery as well as maintaining proper governance in presales and order management till the life cycle of the customers.
- Additionally, this role will provide Order Management support in for driving processes that ensure the provisioning activation/deactivation and inventory accuracy, reporting and Billing.

The Specialist - Presales & Order Management will be accountable to achieve the following objectives:
- Interact and review solutions, with customers regularly to understand their requirements & constraints and deliver solutions to fit customer needs.
- Design & Plan guidelines for connectivity, services and applications carrying mission critical traffic.
- Design and Plan change requirements for Bayobab in-life, guiding Sales and Product teams
- Management of numbering plans, ITU MNC/MCC data base, MNP and service availability to support commercial objectives
- Design criteria for service provisioning or commercial model support for stakeholder enablement
- Provide input to product design for internal and external customer/stakeholders.
- Responsible for business process management areas as per allocation by management and act as back-up to other Carrier Services specialists as and when required.
- Ensure compliance of regulatory conditions and process requirements.
- Ensure best practices are adhered to in serving customers within industry standard "Turn Around Time".
- Ensure compliance of standards, ISO etc. for IT Security, Service Management Business Continuity.
- Review performance reports and financial statements to determine progress and status in attaining objectives.

QUALIFICATIONS
Job Requirements
(Education, Experience and Competencies)
Education:
- Minimum 3-year Academic Degree (BBA, Engineering/Computer Science)
- Fluent in English.
Experience
- At least 3 years functional experience in Telecommunications, Technology, or related B2B industry experience specifically within the wholesale landscape.
- Minimum 2 years in Service & Solution Management with relevant technical experience in the international telecommunication industry preferably in carrier/enterprise business and new services, viz. API, IPX, WhatsApp for Business and IOT etc.
- Wholesale and Enterprise Business market knowledge, desirable.
- Good understanding of the telecommunication industry – especially wholesale carrier and Enterprise services is desirable.
- Excellent technology skills with strong Excel (macros, pivot tables, look-ups and filtering), PowerPoint, and Word skills.
Competencies
- In depth knowledge of voice telecommunication technology protocols & standards (INAP, ISUP, SIP, ENUM, PESQ etc.), codecs (G711, G723, G729, AMR), understand carrier network topology (Hubbing, Transit) and dynamic routing principles (Percentile/Overflow/Crank back), IP, API, IPX, WhatsApp for Business, Internet of Things, Signalling Protocols, etc..
- Ability to draft technical scope of work, specifications and RFP responses.
- Ability to manifest solutions based on business forecast and utilization, including process and capacity inputs into technology.
- Ability to identify key issues in customer facing solutions, and to think creatively and strategically to overcome internal and external challenges.
- Ability to regularly audit, review and harden gaps in customer solution & requests.
- Ability to translate customer requirements to design specifications and handhold Technology & Operations team with necessary guidelines around CLI, Non-CLI, PESQ, DTMF, API, etc.
- Ability to work effectively with multiple stakeholders in a multi-cultural environment.

- Direct experience and demonstrated ability to develop own executive level presentations using Microsoft PowerPoint and Excel / Power BI
