Job Summary
- To work with Marcommsteam to plan, film and edit in-house video contents for all digital platformsaccording to briefs and scripts from Marcomms Head.
- Responsibilitiesinclude ensuring that the necessary filming equipment is available for use,assisting in directing other camera operators on set and editing film footage.
- Should stay up to datewith industry trends and tools that will make video contents more marketable.
Principal Functions
Operational
- Plan production for in-house videocontents and source the appropriate equipment for execution, including lineproduction documents, treatments, schedule, location, props and gear.
- Assist the external production house inplanning and directing on set
- Ensure that equipment for a shoot ispresent and working.
- Plan the shoot with the creative teamand user group
- Edit footage in post-production
- Direct other camera operators so thatthe needed footage is acquired.
- Roll tape using digital devicesavailable for in-house productions for our digital platforms
- Trim footage segments and put togetherthe sequence of the film
- Input music, dialogues, graphics andeffects
- Create rough and final cuts
- Ensure logical sequencing and smoothrunning
- Consult with stakeholders fromproduction to post-production process
- Continuously discover and implement newediting technologies and industry's best practices to maximize efficiency.
- Execute other production jobs asbriefed by Line Manager
Educational Requirements
- BSc degree in film studies, Creative Art, cinematography or related field
- Proven work experience as a videographer
- Solid experience with digital technology and editing software packages (e.g. Avid Media Composer, Lightworks, Premiere, After Effects and Final Cut)
- Demonstrable video editing ability with a strong portfolio
- Thorough knowledge of timing, motivation and continuity
- Familiarity with special effects, 3Dand compositing
- Creative mind and storytelling skills
- Demonstrate ability to shoot with digital devices like iPhone, GoPro etc.
- Have relative knowledge of operating Canon, Red and other types of cameras
- Experienced in line production
