Responsibilities:
- Design, deploy, and maintain network infrastructure, including LAN, WAN, firewalls, VPNs, and wireless networks.
- Configure, monitor, and optimize network and system performance to ensure high availability and reliability.
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex network and system issues in a timely manner.
- Implement and maintain security measures, including firewalls, intrusion detection systems, and access controls, to safeguard organizational data
- Maintain and update system and network documentation, including configurations, processes, and procedures.
- Provide technical support and guidance to team members and end-users.
- Stay updated on emerging technologies, industry best practices, and cybersecurity trends.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- Proven experience as a Systems Network Engineer or similar role.
- Knowledge of network protocols, such as TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, and routing protocols (e.g., OSPF, BGP).
- Hands-on experience with network hardware (routers, switches, firewalls) and system administration (Windows, Linux, or Unix).
- Familiarity with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) and virtualization technologies (e.g., VMware, Hyper-V).
- Proficiency in network monitoring and diagnostic tools.
- Understanding of cybersecurity principles and best practices.
- Relevant certifications, such as CCNA, CCNP, CompTIA Network+, or equivalent, are a plus.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Experience with scripting and automation tools (e.g., Python, Bash, PowerShell).
- Knowledge of DevOps practices and tools.
