Job Summary

  • We are looking for a qualified Tech Support Officer to join our IT team.
  • The successful candidate will be responsible for providing technical support for hardware, new technology, networking, and applications.
  • This role requires vast knowledge in different operating systems, proficiency in Microsoft/Office 365, and all related applications.

Responsibilities

  •  Provide technical support and resolve issues related to the bank’s software applications, ensuring timely resolution and minimizing downtime. 
  • Provide technical support for hardware issues, including troubleshooting, repair, and maintenance.
  • Stay updated with the latest technology trends and provide support for new technology implementations.
  • Offer networking support, including configuration, troubleshooting, and maintenance of network systems.
  • Provide application support for various software used within the organization, ensuring smooth operation and resolving any issues that arise.
  • Support and maintain different operating systems (Windows, macOS, Linux), ensuring they are updated and functioning efficiently.
  • Manage and support Microsoft/Office 365 applications, including setup, configuration, troubleshooting, and maintenance.
  • Document technical issues and resolutions to help build a knowledge base for future reference.
  • Train staff on new technologies and software applications to ensure they are used effectively.
  • Collaborate with the IT team to develop strategies for improving IT services and support.
  • Ensure compliance with IT policies and procedures and maintain a high level of security for all IT systems.
  • Communicate effectively with internal stakeholders, including end-users, developers, and management, providing regular updates on support activities, issue resolution, and system status. 

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in a tech support role, with strong technical knowledge of hardware, new technology, networking, and application support.
  • Extensive knowledge of various operating systems, including Windows, macOS, and Linux.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft/Office 365 applications and the ability to support and troubleshoot issues related to these applications.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively support and train staff.
  • Ability to work well under pressure and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to document technical issues and resolutions accurately.
  • A proactive approach to learning and adapting to new technologies.
