Job Role
- We are looking for a skilled and creative UI/UX Designer to join our team.
- The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing intuitive and engaging user interfaces while ensuring a seamless user experience across our digital products.
- You will collaborate with product managers and developers to translate user needs into visually appealing and functional designs that align with business goals.
Responsibilities
- Conduct user research through interviews, surveys, and usability testing to understand user needs, pain points, and behavior.
- Analyze user feedback and data to inform design decisions, create user personas and iterate on designs based on user feedback and testing results, continuously improving the user experience.
- Create wireframes, user flows, and prototypes that demonstrate the structure, layout, and functionality of digital products.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to iterate on designs and ensure alignment with project goals.
- Design visually appealing and responsive user interfaces that enhance user experience across web and mobile platforms.
- Develop design systems, style guides, and UI patterns to maintain consistency and coherence throughout the product.
- Ensure designs are accessible, adhering to industry standards and best practices for usability.
- Work closely with developers to ensure the design vision is accurately implemented during development.
- Collaborate with product managers and other team members to understand project requirements, constraints, and objectives.
- Present design concepts and solutions to stakeholders, incorporating feedback into final designs.
- Conduct usability testing to validate design concepts and identify areas for improvement.
- Stay current on UI/UX best practices, design trends, and emerging technologies to create innovative and modern digital experiences.
- Perform other tasks as may be assigned by the Product Manager and Head, Digital Operations.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree or certification in Product Design, Graphic Design, Interaction Design, Human-Computer Interaction (HCI), or a related field.
- 3+ years of experience in UI/UX design with a strong portfolio demonstrating a range of digital projects.
- Proficiency in design tools such as Sketch, Figma, Adobe XD, or similar.
- Experience with wireframing and prototyping tools.
- Strong understanding of UX principles, including user research, information architecture, and interaction design.
- Knowledge of responsive design and mobile-first approaches.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- Familiarity with front-end development languages (HTML/CSS/JavaScript) is a plus but not required.
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to handle multiple projects and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Must reside in Abuja.
