CRUDAN’s vision is a dynamic self-sustained Christian organization facilitating (w)holistic community transformation with the church as agent of change and manifesting the kingdom of GOD on earth. CRUDAN’s work is making thousands of Nigeria’s rural and urban poor families to regain their lives through enhanced voices for accountable and just leadership, Christian wholistic education and humanitarian action during emergencies. We collaborate with the Church, media and other members of civil society in wholistic development work in the campaign to realize a truly egalitarian society.

Responsible to: Project Coordinator.
Project: Joint Humanitarian Response for Floods in Borno state.

Objective:

The primary objective of this role is to enhance CRUDAN's online presence, engage with stakeholders, and effectively communicate the goals, progress, and impact of the response project through creative and compelling visuals and social media strategies.

Scope of Work:

The Social Media Manager/Graphics Designer will be responsible for the following tasks:

Social Media Management:

Strategy Development

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive social media strategy tailored to CRUDAN's Humanitarian Action project.
  • Identify target audiences and key messages to enhance engagement and outreach.

Content Creation

  • Create and schedule engaging content across CRUDAN's social media platforms (e.g., Facebook, Twitter, Instagram) and website.
  • Write compelling captions and posts that reflect CRUDAN's mission and the goals of the Anticipatory Humanitarian Action project.

Community Engagement

  • Create and schedule engaging content across CRUDAN's social media platforms (e.g., Facebook, Twitter, Instagram) and website.
  • Write compelling captions and posts that reflect CRUDAN's mission and the goals of the Anticipatory Humanitarian Action project.

Analytics and Reporting

  • Track and analyze social media metrics to measure the effectiveness of campaigns and strategies.
  • Provide regular reports on social media performance and insights for improvement.

Graphics Design:

Visual Content Creation

  • Design visually appealing graphics, infographics, and other multimedia content that convey project messages and data effectively.
  • Ensure all graphics align with CRUDAN's and its partners’ branding guidelines and project objectives.

Campaign Meterials

  • Develop promotional materials, including banners, posters, and digital flyers, for online campaigns and events.
  • Collaborate with project teams to create materials that support project activities and stakeholder engagement.

Video Production

  • Lead in the production of short videos and animations that highlight project milestones, success stories, and key messages.

Deliverables

  • A comprehensive 6 months social media strategy document for the Project.
  • Weekly and monthly content calendars.
  • A portfolio of designed graphics and multimedia content.
  • Regular social media performance reports.
  • Promotional materials for specific campaigns and events.
  • Possibility of occasional travel to project locations for media visibility assignments.
  • Work closely with the CRUDAN and implementing partner’s Communications Officers to deliver tasks.

Duration

  • This assignment is expected to last for a period of 6 months, with the possibility of extension based on performance and project needs.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Communications, Marketing, Graphic Design, Art or a related field.
  • Proven experience in social media management and graphics design (Links to previous works such as graphics designs, video production, etc should be included in Resume).
  • Proficiency in design software such as Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign), Canva, Final Cut, etc.
  • Strong writing and communication skills.
  • Familiarity with social media analytics tools.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Passion for development and humanitarian work as well as an understanding of anticipatory action.
