Job Description
- We are seeking a highly skilled Website Developer, UI/UX & SEO Specialist with WordPress expertise to design, build, optimize, and maintain high-performing websites across multiple Innovasol brands.
- This role blends creativity with technical expertise, requiring someone who can develop user-friendly WordPress sites, apply UI/UX best practices, and implement strong SEO strategies to drive organic growth.
- The ideal candidate has solid WordPress development experience, excellent design sense, and a results-driven SEO mindset. They will be responsible for ensuring all websites are visually consistent, mobile-optimized, secure, fast, and aligned with our brand identity.
- This role will also provide basic IT support within the office to ensure seamless daily operations.
Key Responsibilities
Website Development & Management
- Design, build, customize, and maintain multiple WordPress websites
- Create clean, modern UI/UX layouts and user flows
- Ensure websites are responsive, mobile-optimized, and fast-loading
- Install, update, and manage themes, plugins, and integrations
- Troubleshoot bugs, downtime issues, and performance problems
- Maintain website security through backups, updates, and monitoring
UI/UX Design:
- Develop wireframes, prototypes, and page layouts (Figma etc)
- Improve overall user experience and website navigation
- Ensure brand consistency across all Innovasol websites
- Optimize pages for clarity, usability, conversion, and engagement
SEO Strategy & Implementation:
- Conduct keyword research and implement on-page SEO best practices
- Optimize headings, meta tags, URLs, internal linking, and content structure
- Ensure technical SEO standards: schema markup, mobile usability, site speed
- Monitor rankings and adjust SEO strategies based on data and algorithm updates
- Support content teams with SEO-driven recommendations
Niche Website Growth & Scaling:
- Research niche website opportunities with strong growth potential
- Implement SEO-focused strategies to increase organic traffic
- Support website monetization through ads, affiliates, or e-commerce
- Track performance analytics and adjust strategies accordingly
Performance Monitoring & Analytics:
- Use Google Analytics, Search Console, SEMrush/Ahrefs to monitor performance
- Generate insights on traffic, rankings, conversions, and site health
- Conduct A/B tests on layouts and content to improve performance
Collaboration & Project Management:
- Work closely with designers, writers, marketing teams, and leadership
- Manage updates across multiple websites simultaneously
- Create timelines for web projects and ensure deadlines are met
Basic IT Support:
- Assist staff with laptop setup, accounts, email, and software installation
- Troubleshoot common office hardware/software issues
- Maintain office device inventory and manage access permissions
- Ensure smooth functioning of internet and network systems
- Coordinate with external IT providers when needed
Qualifications
- 3–5+ years of WordPress development experience
- Strong UI/UX design skills; proficient in Figma
- Proven ability to design and build visually appealing, functional websites
- Strong technical and on-page SEO experience
- Experience with Google Analytics, Search Console, SEMrush/Ahrefs
- Ability to make front-end edits using HTML and CSS
- Excellent organization and project management skills
- Ability to multitask and manage multiple websites effectively
- Basic IT troubleshooting knowledge
Key Requirements:
- Must be able to work in our Ikate / Lekki Phase 1 Office (Freedom Way)
- Some positions may transition to a hybrid schedule after a 3 month probation & demonstrated ability to work independently from home.
- Must have a flexible work schedule, and must be available to work US hours and weekends as needed.
- Must be creative, adaptable, and able to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
Salary and Benefits
- Competitive salary (N3000,000 - N350,000 per month) based on senior-level experience; flexible ± depending on qualifications.
