Job Description
- A?motivated?and technically savvy Windows System Engineer?who is adept at designing, installing, and configuring Windows servers, storage arrays, open-source platforms and performing system integration, testing, and operational support.
- The ideal person enjoys solving challenging problems in a?fast-paced?and dynamic team?environment and has an interest in learning more about Linux.
What you will do…
- Manage and monitor all systems and infrastructure
- Execute daily support of all systems
- Monitor and test system performance
- Interact and negotiate with vendors, outsourcers, and contractors
- Develop strategies for system improvements
- Create system design models, specifications, diagrams, and charts
- Perform server and security audits and system backup procedure
- Integrate servers
- Ensure system connectivity of all servers
Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience working as a Windows Engineer
- 2+ years of experience working with Linux OS
- Versed in Hyper-V and VMWare hypervisors both stand alone and clustered environments
- Knowledge in multiple scripting languages (PowerShell, Python etc.)
- Experience using and configuring Salt a plus
- Experience with a variety of OS tools and utilities for managing, monitoring, and troubleshooting Windows infrastructure and networks.?
- Knowledge of AD, DHCP, DNS, LDAP, CIFS, and multi-platform system security
- Experience with proxying, load balancing, sticky sessions a plus
- Zabbix or similar monitoring tools is a plus
- IIS support background and experience is a plus
- Bachelor’s degree OR equivalent work experience with a multitude of?relevant?certifications?
- Available in a 24x7 on-call rotation?
