We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced WordPress Theme & Plugin Developer to join our team. You will be responsible for developing and maintaining custom themes and plugins for WordPress websites.
Job Description/Requirements
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with clients and project stakeholders to gather requirements and understand their vision for website themes and functionality.
- Develop custom WordPress themes that align with client specifications, ensuring a visually appealing and user-friendly experience.
- Create responsive website layouts using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript, optimizing for cross-browser compatibility and mobile devices.
- Develop custom plugins to enhance website functionality, such as custom post types, custom fields, and integration with third-party APIs.
- Conduct thorough testing and debugging of themes and plugins to ensure optimal performance and compatibility.
- Provide technical support and troubleshoot theme and plugin-related issues reported by clients or end-users.
- Optimize theme and plugin performance and security through code reviews, performance profiling, and other optimization techniques.
- Document the development process, including theme and plugin architecture, requirements, and user guides.
Requirements:
- Minimum of 3 years proven work experience as a WordPress Theme & Plugin Developer or similar role.
- Strong proficiency in PHP programming language.
- In-depth knowledge of WordPress CMS, including theme development and plugin architecture.
- Experience with HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and jQuery.
- Familiarity with front-end frameworks such as Bootstrap or Foundation.
- Solid understanding of web development principles, including responsive design, cross-browser compatibility, and accessibility.
- Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git) and package managers (e.g., Composer, npm).
- Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and meet project deadlines.
- Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality code.
- Good communication skills to collaborate effectively with clients, team members, and stakeholders.
