\The Advocacy and Communication Manager at the Children Against Torture and Crime Foundation will be responsible for developing and implementing strategies to advocate for policy changes, raise public awareness, and effectively communicate the foundation\'s mission and impact. This role involves managing communication efforts, building relationships with stakeholders, and leading advocacy campaigns.
Key Responsibilities:
. Advocacy Strategy:
- Develop and implement advocacy strategies to influence policy and bring attention to issues related to children, torture, and crime.
- Identify key advocacy priorities and opportunities for the foundation.
- Build and maintain relationships with policymakers, government agencies, and advocacy partners.
Public Relations:
- Develop and execute a comprehensive public relations strategy to enhance the foundation\'s visibility and reputation.
- Manage media relations, including drafting press releases, responding to media inquiries, and arranging interviews.
- Represent the foundation at public events, conferences, and media engagements.
Communication & Outreach:
- Develop and implement effective communication strategies to engage diverse audiences, including donors, stakeholders, and the general public.
- Create and manage compelling content for various communication channels, including the foundation\'s website, social media, newsletters, and publications.
- Coordinate public awareness campaigns and events to promote the foundation\'s mission and programs.
Content Creation:
- Produce high-quality written and visual content that effectively communicates the foundation\'s impact and stories of those served.
- Ensure consistent messaging and branding across all communication materials.
- Manage the development of multimedia content, including videos, infographics, and photography.
Monitoring & Evaluation:
- Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of advocacy and communication efforts.
- Collect and analyze data to measure the impact of campaigns and initiatives.
- Prepare and present reports on advocacy and communication activities to the Executive Director/CEO and the board of directors.
Collaboration & Teamwork:
- Work closely with program staff to align advocacy and communication efforts with program goals and activities.
- Collaborate with the fundraising team to support donor engagement and fundraising campaigns.
- Participate in staff meetings and contribute to the organization\'s overall strategic planning.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor\'s degree in Communications, Public Relations, Political Science, or a related field.
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in advocacy, public relations, or communications, preferably within a nonprofit organization.
- Strong understanding of issues related to children, human rights, and social justice.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to craft compelling narratives.
- Proven experience in media relations and public speaking.
- Strong organizational and project management skills.
- Ability to build and maintain relationships with diverse stakeholders.
- Proficiency in communication and social media tools.
- Passion for the mission and values of the Children Against Torture and Crime Foundation.
