Primary Responsibilities
Application Support Specialist is responsible for managing the TFP Application product line. This include managing the team providing 2nd level Support, coordinate with external developers to ensure projects are delivered on schedule and according to required specifications as well as managing the Change Management process
Specific Responsibilities
- Coordinate with Support Center to Deploy changes & Resolve issues
- Work with stakeholders to devise and document areas for system improvements
- Work closely with developers to ensure updates are delivered on time and according to specifications
- Collaborate with software developers to select appropriate design solutions
- Collaborate with other Application Teams to ensure the smooth operations of all TradeNet applications
- Perform User Acceptance Test (UAT) and quality assurance on new updates
- Design software testing strategies for new products and updates
- Research on innovative ways to enhance MDS operations
- Provide third level Support to Clients
- Mange Change Request procedures
- Develop procedure for application maintenance/support and ensure they are updated on sharepoint
- Make sure that systems meet quality standards
- Provide technical guidance or support for the development or troubleshooting of systems
Educational and Professional Experience
- Minimum of First Degree in Computer Science or related qualification.
- Professional certifications in ITIL, MS SQL, Web-enabled APPLICATIONS
- Good Redhat Linux and Microsoft Windows Server knowledge and practical usage
Required Skills
- Knowledge of automated testing tools, like Telerik Test studio, SOAPUI, WinRunner, QTP, Rational Robot, etc
- Must demonstrate an understanding of IP networking, protocols such as HTTP and HTTPS, firewalls, routers, etc.
- Good understanding of object oriented programming, J2EE architecture, .NET, etc
- Good development/scripting skills in common languages like VB, JAVA, JSON etc
- Database skills, mainly in Oracle and SQL Server
- Previous experience of providing support of Trading systems or financial products
- Ability to consistently meet KPIs\objectives
