Job Description

  • Verify all repairs and maintenance activities to ensure they meet quality standards before releasing vehicles for operations.
  • Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections (PTI) to ensure all safety and complete checks before vehicles depart.
  • Monitor technician activities to ensure compliance with standard repair procedures and prevent falsified or incomplete repairs.
  • Investigate and document repair integrity issues, ensuring technicians and workshop teams are held accountable for their work.
  • Track job card openings and closures, ensuring all completed repairs are properly documented and signed off within the required TAT.
  • Ensure timely escalation of unresolved maintenance issues to the QA Manager and Regional Maintenance Managers (RMMs).
  • Follow up on vehicles undergoing repairs, ensuring they are completed on time and made available for the next day’s operations.
  • Provide daily reports on vehicle availability, highlighting risks, pending repairs, and readiness for operations.
  • Prevent breakdown-related revenue losses by strictly following preventive maintenance for all vehicles.
  • Monitor vehicle repair trends, identify patterns in recurring faults, and escalate to the QA manager and the RMMs to resolve systemic issues.
  • Enforce accountability in terminal workshops, ensuring no technician signs off on repairs they have not fully completed.
  • Ensure compliance with maintenance SOPs, challenging any deviation from standard processes that could lead to future breakdowns.
  • Coordinate with captains and operations teams, gathering real-time feedback on vehicle performance and reporting any early warning signs.
  • Promote integrity and discipline in the maintenance process, ensuring a culture of quality control and strict adherence to repair protocols.

Daily Tasks:
Conduct Pre-Trip & Post-Trip Inspections (PTI):

  • Inspect vehicles before and after trips to verify repairs and ensure they meet operational standards.
  • Confirm that captains report any unusual vehicle behavior.

Verify & Monitor Ongoing Repairs:

  • Physically inspect repairs in progress to confirm quality repairs is being carried out correctly.
  • Prevent falsified repairs by ensuring technicians complete all tasks before sign-off.

Follow Up on Job Card Closures:

  • Ensure all completed repairs have corresponding job cards that are closed within the required timeframe.
  • Escalate any job cards that remain open beyond the TAT.

Track & Report Daily Vehicle Availability:

  • Compile a list of vehicles ready for the next day’s operations.
  • Identify and escalate any vehicle at risk of missing operations due to incomplete repairs. 

Monitor Recurring Faults & Repair Trends:

  •  Identify vehicles with repeated faults and cross-check with past repairs.
  • Investigate and follow up on repairs don at RRU due to Breakdown
  • Report any trends of poor-quality repairs, part failures, or technician errors.

Ensure Compliance with Maintenance SOPs:

  • Verify that all repair and maintenance processes are followed correctly.
  • Reject any work done outside the approved process and escalate where necessary. 

Qualifications

  • Candidates should have a Bachelor's Degree.
  • 2 - 5 years work experience.
