We are seeking a talented and driven Backend Developer to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be at the heart of developing and maintaining our robust payment infrastructure, ensuring scalability, security, and efficiency.
You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to create backend systems that handle high volumes of transactions and provide seamless payment experiences for our customers.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain backend services, APIs, and database systems for our payment platform.
- Optimize system performance to handle large-scale, high-traffic environments.
- Implement secure and scalable solutions to ensure data protection and regulatory compliance.
- Collaborate with frontend developers, product managers, and other stakeholders to deliver end-to-end solutions.
- Troubleshoot and debug complex technical issues to ensure system reliability and uptime.
- Stay up to date with emerging technologies and integrate them into the development process where applicable.
- Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code while following best practices and coding standards.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
- Proven experience (3+ years) as a backend developer, preferably in the fintech or payment solutions sector.
- Proficiency in backend programming languages such as PHP and Node.js.
- Strong experience with relational and non-relational databases (e.g., PostgreSQL, MySQL etc.).
- Expertise in developing and consuming RESTful APIs and microservices architecture.
- Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes).
- Knowledge of security best practices and compliance standards in the payments industry (e.g., PCI DSS).
- Strong problem-solving skills, with a focus on delivering high-quality solutions.
