Job Summary
- We are seeking a creative, proactive, and results-driven Book Marketer to join our publishing team. The ideal candidate will lead efforts to promote our books, authors, and publishing services through both physical and digital marketing strategies.
- You must be passionate about storytelling, digitally savvy, and capable of crafting campaigns that reflect our mission of legacy, impact, and excellence in publishing.
Key Responsibilities
Marketing Campaigns:
- Plan and execute end-to-end book marketing campaigns (pre-launch, launch, post-launch).
- Create tailored marketing plans based on genre, target audience, and distribution channels.
- Organize and promote virtual and physical book events, launches, and campaigns.
- Source bookstores and other outlets for book distribution and sales opportunities.
Content Creation & Promotion:
- Develop compelling marketing content including graphics, captions, blog posts, reels, and short videos.
- Manage social media campaigns and email newsletters to drive awareness and engagement.
- Support author branding and online presence across platforms.
Trend Monitoring & Strategy:
- Stay updated on publishing and marketing trends, including reader behaviors and platform changes.
- Recommend and implement growth-focused strategies for better visibility and book sales.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Communications, English, Media, or related field (or equivalent practical experience) with 1-3 years experience.
- Proven experience in digital and physical marketing, book promotion, or content strategy.
- Strong understanding of major social media platforms (Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, X, TikTok).
- Basic design skills using Canva, Adobe Photoshop, or similar tools.
- Familiarity with SEO, email marketing, and website management.
- Excellent writing, editing, and verbal communication skills.
- Highly organized, creative, and able to work independently under deadlines.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience in publishing, media, or creative industries.
- Familiarity with Amazon KDP, Goodreads, and book blog tour platforms.
- Knowledge of email marketing automation and campaign tools.
- Understanding of genre-specific reader behavior and marketing trends.
- Additional creative skills such as photography, video editing, or advanced graphic design.
