About the Role

  • The Brand & Community Lead plays a pivotal role in shaping how we’re perceived by our team, by our partners, and by the world. This role blends internal culture building, content creation, external brand storytelling, and community engagement (including social media). You’ll work cross-functionally with our People team, design and marketing, and product teams to ensure we show up consistently across all touchpoints- from onboarding to LinkedIn, from Slack to Instagram.

What You’ll Do

Internal Brand & Culture

  • Lead internal campaigns that promote team culture, spotlight accomplishments, and reinforce our values
  • Manage internal communications (e.g. culture decks, team spotlights, internal events, birthdays, recognition rituals)
  • Collaborate with leads and teams to collect updates and stories for internal and external use
  • Support employer branding efforts through recruitment content and cultural storytelling

Content Creation & Brand Voice

  • Develop and maintain a consistent brand voice across internal and external channels
  • Create content that communicates who we are- from LinkedIn posts to Medium articles, culture videos, and slide decks
  • Partner with designers to bring content to life visually (you don’t need to be a designer, just a great collaborator)
  • Own the tone, clarity, and alignment of communication across Acumen’s channels

Social Media & External Community Engagement

  • Develop and manage our social media content calendar
  • Create and curate content that highlights our work, our people, and our values
  • Grow and engage with our audience on platforms like LinkedIn, Instagram, Twitter (X), etc.
  • Respond to community interactions and maintain a consistent and authentic online presence
  • Collaborate with growth/marketing team members on campaigns or product-specific storytelling

What We’re Looking For

  • 3+ years in a brand, content, community, or internal communications role
  • Strong writing and content creation skills (bonus if you’ve done this in a brand or agency setting)
  • A storyteller who understands tone, clarity, audience, and alignment
  • Experience managing social media accounts and building an engaged audience
  • Comfortable working remotely and collaborating across functions
  • Deep interest in team culture, communication, and how strong internal culture shows up externally
  • Experience working with tools like Notion, Slack, Canva, Figma, Jira and scheduling platforms
