The Prima Group has been doing business in Nigeria for over 45 years. Founded as a partnership in 1965 by the late Naraindas G. Vaswani, the company was incorporated in 1974. Since founding, the group has grown from an import oriented trading company to a medium-sized conglomerate with interest in banking, manufacturing, trading, and real estate. Our group comprises of four main business units: Prima Impex Ltd., Engee Enterprises UK Ltd.,The LaCasera Company PLC and Prima Corporation Ltd. In this respect, Jotna Nigeria Limited., a holding and investment services company, was set up in 2003 to serve as the corporate head office for the business units within the group. Jotna Nigeria Limited provides the vision, strategic direction, operational oversight and logistical support for the various business units, actively helping each unit to meets its objectives. Job Summary
- Reporting to the MD, the purpose of this position is the implementation of data-driven strategies to enhance operational efficiency, drive business growth, and support strategic decision-making for the BU.
Other Responsibilities
Data Strategy & Management
- Develop and implement a comprehensive business intelligence strategy aligned with company goals.
- Oversee the collection, storage, and analysis of data to ensure data integrity and security.
- Manage data governance and ensure compliance with relevant regulations
Business Intelligence & Analytics:
- Utilize BI tools to create dashboards, reports, and visualizations that provide actionable insights.
- Conduct detailed data analysis to identify trends, patterns, and opportunities for improvement.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand their data needs and provide tailored solutions.
Process Improvement & Transformation
- Lead process improvement initiatives to enhance operational efficiency and reduce costs.
- Implement Lean, Six Sigma, or other process improvement methodologies.
- Drive digital transformation projects to modernize and optimize business processes.
Employee Engagement & Performance Management
- Manages to the optimal level Employee Engagement & establishing Performance Management standards.
Stakeholder Management
- Work closely with senior leadership to support strategic planning and decision-making.
- Communicate complex data insights in a clear and actionable manner to stakeholders.
- Foster a data-driven culture within the organization.
Requirements
- Bachelor's in Business Administration, Data Science, IT, or related field (Master’s preferred)
- Minimum of 8 years of experience in business intelligence, data analytics, or a related field.
- Proficiency in BI tools (Tableau, Power BI, QlikView).
- Good knowledge of SAP
- Manufacturing/FMCG experience preferred.
