Job Summary
- The Chief Technology Officer (CTO) is responsible for developing and executing the bank’s technology strategy to drive innovation, operational efficiency, and digital transformation.
- This role ensures the secure, scalable, and efficient use of technology to enhance financial services, improve customer experience, and maintain regulatory compliance.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement the bank’s technology strategy to align with business objectives.
- Oversee IT infrastructure, digital banking platforms, cybersecurity, and enterprise applications.
- Drive innovation in financial technology, digital products, and automation to enhance customer experience.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, data security policies, and risk management frameworks.
- Lead the digital transformation agenda, including the adoption of AI, blockchain, and cloud computing.
- Manage IT budgets, vendor relationships, and technology investments to optimize operational efficiency.Collaborate with business leaders to integrate technology into banking products and services.
- Develop and maintain a high-performing technology team, fostering continuous learning and innovation.

Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field (Master’s preferred)
- 10+ years of experience in IT leadership, digital banking, or financial technology roles.
- Membership in relevant professional bodies such as the Nigeria Computer Society (NCS) or the Chartered Institute of Bankers of Nigeria (CIBN) is an advantage.
- Certifications in IT governance, cybersecurity, or cloud computing (e.g., CISA, CISSP, AWS, ITIL, PMP) are preferred.
- Strong understanding of core banking systems, fintech trends, and emerging technologies.
- Expertise in cybersecurity, data protection, and IT risk management
- Strategic leadership with the ability to drive digital transformation initiatives.
- Excellent problem-solving, decision-making, and project management skills.
- Strong communication and stakeholder engagement abilities.
