Job Summary
- The Communications and Events Manager will be responsible for developing and executing strategic PR & and communication strategies, and plans, branding marketing, managing media relations, crisis communications and management, and media amplification for a firm in the development consulting space.
Key Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Communications, Public Relations, Marketing, or a related field
- Master's degree, MBA, and necessary certifications are an added advantage
- Minimum of 8 years of experience in public relations or corporate communications
- Proven record of accomplishment of successful media relations and generating high-profile coverage.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Candidates must possess development consulting experience working with NGOs, government agencies
- Strong, commendable, interpersonal, and relationship-building abilities.
- Crisis communication experience is a plus.
- Proficiency in PR and communication tools, such as media monitoring software and content management systems.
- Creative thinker with the ability to generate innovative communication ideas.
- Outstanding project management and organizational skills
