Job Summary
We are looking for a Community Engagement Manager who will develop and execute strategies to engage with our community, foster meaningful relationships, and drive participation in our programs and initiatives. This role requires a creative thinker with excellent communication skills and a strong understanding of community-building principles.
Job Details
- Develop and implement a comprehensive community engagement strategy aligned with Vendease’s goals and objectives.
- Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including community members, partners, volunteers, and investors.
- Plan and execute events, workshops, and activities to engage with the community online and offline.
- Create and curate content for social media channels, newsletters, and other communication platforms to keep the community informed and engaged.
- Act as a liaison between Vendease and its community, addressing inquiries, concerns, and feedback in a timely and professional manner.
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure community feedback and insights are integrated into decision-making processes and program development.
- Monitor and analyse engagement metrics to measure the effectiveness of community initiatives and identify areas for improvement.
- Stay up-to-date on industry trends and best practices in community engagement and incorporate innovative ideas into strategy development.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in communications, marketing, public relations, or a related field. (Preferred)
- Proven experience in community engagement, social media management, or a related field.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to communicate effectively with diverse audiences.
- Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
- Experience planning and executing events or community programs.
- Familiarity with social media platforms, analytics tools, and content management systems.
- Passion for community building and a genuine interest in making a positive impact.
Additional Requirements:
- Flexibility to work evenings and weekends as needed for events and community activities.
- Ability to travel locally for events and meetings.
