Job Description
- Ensure compliance with data protection laws and regulations. & Monitor internal compliance with data protection policies and procedures.
- Develop and implement data protection policies and procedures.
- Conduct regular audits and assessments to identify and mitigate risks.
- Provide training to staff on data protection responsibilities and best practices.
- Raise awareness of data protection issues within the organization, provide training on compliance policies and procedures and promote a culture of compliance within the organization.
- Act as the contact point for data protection authorities, and manage communications and inquiries and audit from regulatory bodies.
- Oversee processes for handling data subject requests (access, rectification, erasure, etc.), and ensure that requests are processed in a timely manner.
- Identify potential areas of compliance vulnerability and risk.
- Investigate compliance violations and recommend corrective actions. - Address and resolve compliance-related issues promptly.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor’s degree in law, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Professional certification in data protection (e.g., CIPP, CIPM) is preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years post qualification experience in legal, compliance, data protection and privacy regulations, particularly GDPR. /NDPR.
- Strong understanding of data security practices and risk management.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects.
- Analytical thinking and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to interpret complex legal texts and translate them into practical guidelines.
