Job Description

  • A Content Creator/Social Media Intern supports the marketing and social media teams in creating, curating, and managing content for various digital platforms.
  • The intern assists in developing engaging content to boost brand visibility, engagement, and awareness.
  • This role provides hands-on experience in social media marketing, content production, and online community engagement while learning best practices for driving online growth.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in creating and editing content for social media platforms like Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, TikTok, etc.
  • Curate relevant third-party content to share with the community and engage the audience.
  • Participate in brainstorming sessions to contribute ideas for new content and campaigns.
  • Help schedule and publish social media posts using social media management tools.
  • Monitor social media channels for trends, mentions, and conversations related to the brand.
  • Engage with followers by responding to comments, messages, and direct inquiries in a timely and friendly manner.
  • Assist in building and maintaining a positive online community by interacting with followers and sharing user-generated content.
  • Support in organizing social media campaigns or contests to increase engagement.
  • Help track and report on the performance of social media posts and campaigns.
  • Assist in analyzing audience engagement metrics, such as likes, shares, comments, and overall reach, and provide insights on how to improve future content.
  • Ensure that all content aligns with the brand's voice, tone, and visual identity.
  • Assist in maintaining the content calendar and ensuring timely delivery of content across platforms.
  • Research emerging trends in content creation, social media, and the industry to stay up to date with best practices.
  • Monitor competitor social media channels and industry influencers for inspiration and opportunities for the brand.
  • Work closely with other departments (marketing, design, product) to gather necessary content and align with broader marketing strategies.
  • Help with photoshoots, video production, and editing tasks (e.g., filming behind-the-scenes content, creating stories, or designing simple graphics).

Skills / Qualifications

  • 1 year proven experience in social media management, content creation, or digital marketing.
  • Basic knowledge of content creation tools such as Canva, Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Premiere Pro, etc.), or video editing software.
  • Ability to create engaging written content for various audiences and social platforms.
  • Social Media Proficiency:
  • Familiarity with popular social media platforms (Instagram, Twitter, Facebook, LinkedIn, TikTok, etc.) and their features.
  • Basic understanding of social media algorithms and content optimization for maximum engagement.

Communication Skills:

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with an ability to convey ideas clearly and creatively.
  • Comfortable interacting with followers and representing the brand's tone on social media.
  • Creative Thinking:
  • A creative mindset with the ability to contribute fresh ideas for content and campaigns.
  • Eagerness to experiment with new types of content, such as live videos, polls, stories, and more.

Attention to Detail:

  • Strong attention to detail when it comes to content quality, grammar, and design consistency.
  • Ability to ensure that all posts are visually appealing and aligned with brand guidelines.
  • Time Management & Organization:
  • Ability to work on multiple tasks simultaneously and meet deadlines.
  • Organizational skills to manage content calendars, track tasks, and collaborate with other team members.
  • Analytical Skills:
  • Interest in learning to analyze social media performance metrics and interpret data to improve content strategy.
  • Ability to use social media analytics tools to track engagement and performance.
  • Adaptability & Willingness to Learn:
  • Eagerness to learn about social media trends, marketing strategies, and new content formats.
  • Ability to adapt to a fast-paced environment and adjust strategies as needed.
