A Content Creator/Social Media Intern supports the marketing and social media teams in creating, curating, and managing content for various digital platforms.
The intern assists in developing engaging content to boost brand visibility, engagement, and awareness.
This role provides hands-on experience in social media marketing, content production, and online community engagement while learning best practices for driving online growth.
Responsibilities
Assist in creating and editing content for social media platforms like Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, TikTok, etc.
Curate relevant third-party content to share with the community and engage the audience.
Participate in brainstorming sessions to contribute ideas for new content and campaigns.
Help schedule and publish social media posts using social media management tools.
Monitor social media channels for trends, mentions, and conversations related to the brand.
Engage with followers by responding to comments, messages, and direct inquiries in a timely and friendly manner.
Assist in building and maintaining a positive online community by interacting with followers and sharing user-generated content.
Support in organizing social media campaigns or contests to increase engagement.
Help track and report on the performance of social media posts and campaigns.
Assist in analyzing audience engagement metrics, such as likes, shares, comments, and overall reach, and provide insights on how to improve future content.
Ensure that all content aligns with the brand's voice, tone, and visual identity.
Assist in maintaining the content calendar and ensuring timely delivery of content across platforms.
Research emerging trends in content creation, social media, and the industry to stay up to date with best practices.
Monitor competitor social media channels and industry influencers for inspiration and opportunities for the brand.
Work closely with other departments (marketing, design, product) to gather necessary content and align with broader marketing strategies.
Help with photoshoots, video production, and editing tasks (e.g., filming behind-the-scenes content, creating stories, or designing simple graphics).
Skills / Qualifications
1 year proven experience in social media management, content creation, or digital marketing.
Basic knowledge of content creation tools such as Canva, Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Premiere Pro, etc.), or video editing software.
Ability to create engaging written content for various audiences and social platforms.
Social Media Proficiency:
Familiarity with popular social media platforms (Instagram, Twitter, Facebook, LinkedIn, TikTok, etc.) and their features.
Basic understanding of social media algorithms and content optimization for maximum engagement.
Communication Skills:
