Role Overview
We are seeking a proactive, creative, and Women’s football-savvy content creator, social media & and community manager to lead the digital voice of The Super Falcons Show. This person will drive content creation, audience engagement, and online community growth across all digital platforms, ensuring the show remains the authoritative and most vibrant platform for women’s football, especially the senior women national team.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor Super Falcons players (club and national team) and publish timely, verified updates on the website and all social media platforms
- Curate and post player news, interviews, match reports, lifestyle content, and stats across Instagram, Twitter/X, Facebook, TikTok, and YouTube.
- Develop and manage a weekly/monthly content calendar, aligned with show episodes, player milestones, and tournaments.
- Source, script, and post short-form video clips for Reels, TikTok, and Stories to boost viral visibility.
- Actively manage DMs, comments, and replies, ensuring consistent interaction with fans.
- Organize and promote interactive campaigns, polls, quizzes, giveaways, and watch parties to boost engagement.
- Grow and nurture an authentic fan community, converting followers into loyal brand advocates.
- Track social sentiment, fan feedback, and reactions to content and use insights to optimize strategy.
- Collaborate with the production team to identify social-worthy TV moments and repackage them for digital.
- Create and supply social content that can be used on-air, including highlight clips, player teasers, and fan reactions.
- Bridge the gap between TV and online, ensuring continuity and amplification across platforms.
- Stay updated with trends in football, pop culture, social media, and youth language—tailoring content to stay fresh and relevant.
- Track KPIs (reach, engagement, follower growth, video views) using analytics tools.
- Prepare monthly performance reports and make data-informed content recommendations
Job Requirement:
- Deep interest and knowledge of football (especially women’s football in Nigeria & globally).
- Proven experience managing digital platforms and growing online communities.
- Strong copywriting skills, visual storytelling, and video editing knowledge (mobile-first).
- Familiar with tools like Canva, CapCut, Meta Business Suite, and X/Twitter Media Studio.
- Confident, creative, culturally aware, and responsive to digital trends.
- Background in sports journalism or digital content creation.
- Previous experience with live tweeting/sports coverage.
- Fluency in Pidgin or ability to localize content for different Nigerian audiences.
