Job Summary
- The Control Officer (SAP, Biometric and Tracking Officer) for Trucks at Dangote Cement Transport Division Obajana is responsible for ensuring effective control and monitoring of truck movements and operations through SAP systems, Biometric verification, and Tracking Technologies.
Responsibilities
- Manage and oversee all truck movement data using SAP modules to ensure accurate record-keeping and reporting.
- Implement and maintain biometric verification systems for drivers and related personnel to enhance security and accountability.
- Monitor real-time tracking of trucks to ensure compliance with schedules, routes, and company policies.
- Coordinate with logistics, maintenance, and security teams to resolve any discrepancies or issues arising from tracking or biometric data.
- Generate periodic reports on truck movements, delays, and exceptions to management for informed decision-making.
- Ensure data integrity and confidentiality in the handling of biometric and tracking information.
- Provide training and support to staff on the use of SAP, biometric devices, and tracking tools related to truck operations.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in information technology, Logistics, Transport Management, or related field.
- Proven 2 – 3 years working experience with SAP systems, particularly in logistics or fleet management.
- Familiarity with biometric systems and tracking technologies.
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Knowledge of truck operations and logistic processes is an advantage.
- Proficiency in data management and report generation.
