- The Creative Director will be leading a team of thinkers and doers, and bring a mix of marketing expertise and business acumen to the role, promoting our company and those of our valued clients.
Key Responsibilities:
Creative Strategy:
- Spearhead and manage content strategy for both small and large projects, harnessing brand design, copy, art, and digital technology
- Develop internal marketing campaigns that translate objectives across business units into clear and motivating creative strategies
- Produce fresh, innovative work that translates complex ideas into compelling print materials and digital experiences
- Collaborate with account managers and strategists to understand client needs and goals.
- Translate client briefs into clear creative concepts and strategies.
- Ensure that creative concepts are on-brand and consistent with client guidelines.
Project Management:
- Conduct brainstorming sessions with creative team, maintaining strategic thinking to develop innovative and actionable initiatives in a fiscally responsible manner
- Oversee the creative development process from concept to completion.
- Ensure that all creative work meets quality standards and deadlines.
- Collaborate with production teams to ensure that creative assets are produced effectively and efficiently.
Brand Building:
- Ensure that all creative work reflects and enhances the client's brand identity and values.
- Help clients build and maintain a strong and consistent brand image across all channels and touchpoints.
Creative Leadership:
- Provide creative vision and leadership for the creative team.
- Develop and maintain the creative direction and standards for all projects.
- Foster a culture of creativity, innovation, and excellence.
- Delegate tasks and projects effectively to ensure timely delivery of high-quality work.
Cross Collaboration:
- Work closely with account managers to understand client feedback and requirements.
- Present creative concepts and strategies to clients in a clear and compelling manner.
- Incorporate client feedback into creative work while maintaining the integrity of the creative vision.
Industry Knowledge:
- Analyze brand tracking, market trends, consumer needs, and the competitor landscape
- Attend industry events, conferences, and workshops to expand knowledge and network.
- Apply industry insights to drive innovation and creativity in the agency's work.
Budget and Resource Management:
- Manage creative budgets and resources effectively to maximize efficiency and profitability.
- Identify opportunities to optimize resource allocation and streamline workflows.
Client Relationships:
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients based on trust, collaboration, and exceptional work.
- Act as a strategic partner to clients, providing creative solutions that meet their business objectives.
Business Development:
- Contribute to new business pitches and proposals by providing creative insights and ideas.
- Identify opportunities for upselling and expanding services with existing clients.
Skills & Qualifications:
- Minimum 10 years of relevant experience, with 2 or more years as a creative director in an agency or a corporate setting
- Experience in creating marketing/advertising campaigns — from developing the vision and messaging platform to overseeing production on time and within budget
- Proven ability to develop successful concepts
- Proficiency in leading a team of diverse, talented creatives
- Strong creative vision, with an eye on business objectives
