Job Description

  • We are looking for talented Graduates to join our dynamic team. The Entry-Level Security Engineer will support the implementation, management, and monitoring of an organization's security infrastructure and systems.
  • This role is perfect for individuals starting their career in cybersecurity and provides an excellent opportunity to learn from experienced professionals while contributing to the protection of information systems and data.
  • The ideal candidate will have a strong foundational knowledge of security principles and a passion for cybersecurity.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in monitoring security systems, firewalls, intrusion detection systems (IDS), and security information and event management (SIEM) platforms.
  • Support the team in identifying vulnerabilities and security weaknesses in the organization's network and systems.
  • Help support incident response efforts, including assisting in identifying, investigating, and documenting security incidents.
  • Assist in identifying, analyzing, and managing vulnerabilities in the organization’s systems, software, and networks.
  • Support patch management efforts by tracking and applying necessary security patches to the system.
  • Document security procedures, incidents, and actions taken to mitigate risks.
  • Help maintain up-to-date records of the organization’s security configuration and procedures.
  • Assist in managing user access controls, including setting up, modifying, and deleting user accounts and permissions.
  • Communicate security issues to team members and other departments, ensuring that security policies and procedures are followed.
  • Stay informed about emerging threats and security trends and contribute to security discussions and improvements.
  • Assist in the development and delivery of security awareness training for employees.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).
  • 0 - 1 professional experience required (internships or personal projects related to security are a plus).
  • Familiarity with basic cybersecurity principles such as firewalls, encryption, and access controls.
  • Familiarity with security tools such as antivirus software, SIEM platforms, and firewall configurations.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team while being self-motivated and able to work independently when needed.
  • Ability to identify even the smallest vulnerabilities and security risks.
  • Basic knowledge of cloud security concepts (AWS, Azure, GCP) and tools is a plus.
