Responsibilities
- Installation, configuration and upgrading enterprise database instances
- Managing, monitoring and maintaining databases
- Optimize database performance and capacity planning
- Data modeling(Logical & Physical) and architecture
- Participate in Disk layout and Disk capacity planning
- Implementing requested changes, updates and modifications to database structure
- Ensuring database integrity, stability and database system availability
- Patch and upgrade databases
- Maintain data standards, including adherence to the data Protection Act.
- Develop, test and implement back-up and recovery plans/strategies
- Maintain backup and recovery policies and procedures
- Implementation of processes and controls to meet database security and compliance audit requirements for PCI DSS and ISO.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree
- 5 years DBA experience in managing databases in production environment
- Demonstrated experience in performance tuning, capacity planning and High availability
- ETL and data warehouse capabilities is a plus
- Oracle, MySQL, SQL server experience
- Demonstrate capability in Unix/Linux shell
