The General Manager – IT/Communications will be responsible for the overall IT and communications infrastructure, ensuring efficient operations and alignment with business objectives. This role will involve strategic planning, implementation, and management of IT systems, networks, and communications technologies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement IT strategy aligned with the company’s business goals and objectives.
  • Oversee the design, implementation, and maintenance of IT infrastructure, including networks, servers, and data centres.
  • Manage IT budgets, resources, and vendor relationships.
  • Ensure the security and integrity of IT systems and data.
  • Lead and develop a high-performing IT team.
  • Stay updated on emerging technologies and industry trends.
  • Manage and optimize communications systems, including voice, data, and video.
  • Collaborate with business units to identify and implement technology solutions that support their needs.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
  • Master’s degree in Business Administration or related field preferred.
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in IT management, with a focus on strategic planning and execution. 
  • Proven track record of leading and managing IT teams.
  • Strong understanding of IT infrastructure, networks, and security.
  • Experience with project management methodologies.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
