SUMMARY

Our client is a manufacturing company based in Nnewi, Anambra State, seeking to hire a Head of Information Technology. This role provides strategic leadership and hands-on technical management for all IT infrastructure, systems, and services. The incumbent ensures technology reliably supports manufacturing, commercial, and corporate functions while driving digital transformation, enforcing robust cybersecurity, and managing critical systems such as ERP and Microsoft 365. The position is pivotal in delivering excellent IT services and improving operational efficiency across the organization.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Develop and execute the company\'s IT strategy and roadmap. Advise senior management on emerging technologies and digital transformation opportunities relevant to manufacturing.
  • Provide direction to the IT team and oversee daily IT operations, including helpdesk support, to ensure timely resolution of technical issues.
  • Oversee the installation, maintenance, and upgrading of all hardware, software, networks, and servers. Ensure high availability of the company network, internet services, and critical systems.
  • Manage enterprise applications, including the ERP system, accounting software (e.g., Peachtree/Sage), email, and collaboration tools (Microsoft 365). Lead IT projects for system implementations, upgrades, and integrations.
  • Ensure the security of IT systems, data, and networks. Implement access controls, data protection measures, and security monitoring. Coordinate disaster recovery and business continuity planning.
  • Establish and enforce IT policies, procedures, and standards. Ensure compliance with relevant regulations. Train staff on IT systems and cybersecurity awareness.
  • Manage relationships with IT vendors and service providers. Prepare and manage the IT budget, ensuring cost-effective use of resources.
  • Manage Windows Server environments and Active Directory services. Oversee system backups and routine maintenance.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS/BACKGROUND

  • A minimum of Bachelor’s Degree/HND in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or related fields.
  • Professional Certifications on CISSP (Certified Information Systems Security Professional), ITIL (Information Technology Infrastructure Library), or CISM (Certified Information Security Manager) is an added advantage.
  • Knowledge of enterprise systems, cloud computing, cybersecurity, networking, and software development.
  • Ability to lead large teams, manage budgets, and oversee IT strategy.
  • Ability to align IT initiatives with business goals and drive digital transformation.
  • At least 2 years proven track record in managing IT operations, leading projects, and implementing enterprise-wide systems.
