Head Information Communication Technology at B. Adedipe Associates Limited (BAA)

B. Adedipe Associates Limited (BAA)Lagos, Nigeria Networking and Tech Support
Full Time
B. ADEDIPE ASSOCIATES LIMITED ("BAA Consult”, for short) was incorporated in February 1993, as General Management and Financial Consultants, building on the professional experience of its Chief Consultant (Dr. 'Biodun Adedipe) and the complementary relationships he had built over time. Other members of the company ("Associates”) are practicing professionals, whose background and interests span banking and non-financial businesses. The firm also partners with other reputable business organizations, working on team basis to the best advantage of the client. This practice though common to consultants, is carefully managed at BAA Consult through the careful selection of the Associates to assign to each mandate. The Chief Consultant, who has the ultimate responsibility to the client and assures quality of output, coordinates all the firm’s assignments. BAA Consult started prospecting for business in October 1993, concentrating on training and manpower development. In March 1994, the company obtained its first mandate from a stock-broking firm, IMB Securities Plc, to design and run an in-plant course on Debt Recovery. This was the major problem confronting the company at that time because most of its creditors called in their loans in the fear of the systemic effect of the distress in the Nigerian financial system. Recovery of significant portion of its non-performing loans thereafter laid the foundation for the firm’s revival. Partnering on Strategic Management for the management staff and executives of Cornerstone Insurance Company Plc followed, bringing significant improvement in the performance of the company in 1994, relative to 1993. Today, Cornerstone is one of the leading underwriters in the Nigerian insurance market.
