The Global Operations Headquarters is located in O'Fallon, Missouri, United States, a suburb of Saint Louis, Missouri. Throughout the world, its principal business is to process payments between the banks of merchants and the card issuing banks or credit unions of the purchasers who use the "MasterCard" brand debit and credit cards to make purchases. MasterCard Worldwide has been a publicly traded company since 2006. Prior to its initial public offering, MasterCard Worldwide was a cooperative owned by the 25,000+ financial institutions that issue its branded cards. MasterCard, originally known as Interbank/Master Charge, was created by several California banks as a competitor to the BankAmericard issued by Bank of America, which later became the Visa credit card issued by Visa Inc.. THE OPPORTUNITY
Reporting to the Senior Director, Digital and Technology, the Head, Infrastructure and Platforms will drive value for the Foundation through the effective provision, deployment, and management of its applications and infrastructure. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and manage digital solutions that enhance operational efficiency and amplify the Foundation’s impact, furthering the achievement of its 2030 vision.
WAYS YOU CAN CONTRIBUTE
- Oversee and maintain software applications to ensure optimal performance, reliability, security, and alignment with the Foundation’s objectives.
- Manage the configuration and deployment of virtualized computing resources, storage, networking, and other IT components across cloud environments and traditional system infrastructures.
- Oversee IT infrastructure implementation and optimization, including servers, storage, and network solutions, to ensure reliable, secure, and scalable connectivity for business operations.
- Ensure robust and secure network infrastructure to support seamless communication among staff and stakeholders and provision resources, services, or data to other devices over a network.
- Oversee the management and optimization of desktop environments and collaboration tools to facilitate effective communication and resource sharing within the Foundation.
- Collaborate with key stakeholders across the Foundation and DDIT Function to drive the adoption and integration of digital tools and processes, leading to improved user experiences.
- Work closely with User Technology Solutions and Digital Enablement teams to optimize the end-to-end solution lifecycle and user experience for Foundation stakeholders.
- Manage direct reports by providing guidance, coaching, and mentorship while overseeing their performance and capacity in compliance with the Foundation’s management policies and procedures.
WHO YOU ARE
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. Master's degree preferred.
- Minimum of 15 years of experience in infrastructure and platform management within a large-scale enterprise environment or non-profit organization.
- Deep understanding of infrastructure technologies and platforms, including cloud computing, networking, servers, storage, and security, with proven hands-on expertise in designing, implementing, and managing these systems.
- Demonstrated experience managing complex digital and IT infrastructure projects and initiatives within scope, budget, and timeline constraints from inception to delivery.
- Strong leadership and management skills with the ability to inspire teams, foster collaboration, and drive results in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to analyze data, identify trends and insights, and make data-driven recommendations.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to effectively communicate complex digital concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Flexible, adaptable, and able to execute a range of job duties and changing priorities.
- Possess professional maturity, sensitivity with different cultures, and impeccable integrity that exemplify the Foundation’s values.
