Human Capital Partners (HCP) is a professional services firm specialising in the provision of professional services covering the entire spectrum of the Human Resources function. HCP is the successor firm of the erstwhile Executive Selection and Training Services group of KPMG in Nigeria. The Group existed as the Executive Selection unit within Arthur Andersen Nigeria and in 2002, became KPMG Nigeria’s Executive Selection & Training Services Group. The practice was established as an independent entity in July 2011. Human Capital Partners is a member of the International People Services Network, a network of independent but collaborating ex-KPMG firms operating globally and is registered with the Chartered Institute of Personnel Management of Nigeria, The Nigerian Institute of Training and Development, and the Centre for Management Development (CMD) Lagos, Nigeria.

JOB SUMMARY

The Head, IT Management reports to the Chief Information Officer. He/She is responsible for overseeing all IT Personnel across the organization, ensuring strategic alignment of technology initiatives with business goals. The resources is also responsible for the development and execution of IT strategy, budgeting, and planning, providing technological guidance to leadership. The Head of IT also oversees the organization’s IT infrastructure, ensuring it meets security, accessibility, and performance standards as well as develops and implements IT policies in collaboration with subsidiary leads.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Identify, evaluate and recommend new and emerging technologies across the business and it’s subsidiaries.
  • Lead the articulation, development, and execution of IT strategy
  • Provide guidance to the organization and its subsidiary leadership on the respective appropriate.
  • Coordinate the selection and implementation of suitable technology that will allow personnel to streamline operations, boost productivity and enhance profitability.
  • Leads the development of required IT policies for the organization in collaboration with SBU leads.
  • Ensure the IT budget aligns with technology needs and meets KPI
  • Coordinate the activities of the technology steering committee
  • Coordinate the scoping and specification of technology projects, including but not limited to eCommerce platforms, API, and productivity tools, ERP Implementation, CRM, and data management platforms
  • Manage vendors, Original Equipment Manufactures and external partners, consultants that are working on technology projects across the business ecosystem.
  • Ensure that technology projects are completed on time within budget.
  • Oversee the organization’s entire IT Infrastructure including both physical asset and cloud infrastructure to ensure they meet the organization’s needs in terms of security, accessibility, reliability and other relevant performance metrics.
  • Manage all IT Staff across the business, including both central IT teams and those embedded within various Strategic Business Units.
  • Formulate objective and strategies for the IT department.
  • Guarantee that the technology team adhere to all the SLA and fulfills the expectations of internal team and SBUs.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology or any related field.
  • A Master’s degree or an MBA in a related discipline is and added advantage.
  • Possession of Project Management Certification (PRINCE2, PMI) ITIL or CISSP
  • A minimum of 9years of relevant experience in IT management, strategic planning and project management within a similar industry or multi-sector environment.
  • Demonstrable experience in successfully managing large-scale IT projects and teams in a complex organizational environment.
  • Direct experience with the management of IT Infrastructure, vendor management and the management of IT budgets.
  • Strong strategic planning skills with the ability to align IT initiatives with business goals as well as in-depth knowledge of current and emerging technologies, IT Infrastructure, cloud computing, cybersecurity and data management.
  • Hands-on experience with the rollout of company wide technology projects such as ERP Implementation, CRM and eCommerce platform development as well as API integration
  • Hands-on experience in developing and ensuring compliance with relevant policies and guidelines such as SOC, audits and data privacy (GDPR,NDPR)
