Position Overview:

The Senior Manager (Head of IT) at EBS Limited is a strategic leadership role responsible for overseeing and managing the IT department. This role involves leading and managing a team of developers, Quality Assurance/Testing, Business Analysts for driving innovation, and ensuring the successful delivery of IT solutions. The Senior Manager will play a pivotal role in identifying new opportunities, managing project deliveries, and maintaining key performance indicators (KPIs) of the IT team.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Team Leadership:
    • Provide visionary leadership to the IT department, fostering a collaborative and innovative work culture.
    • Manage, mentor, and develop a high-performing team of developers, testers, and business analysts.
  2. Project Management:
    • Oversee the entire solutions delivery lifecycle, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within scope, and meet quality standards.
    • Develop and implement project management methodologies to enhance efficiency.
  3. Software/Website Development and Testing:
    • Direct and coordinate software and website development projects, ensuring alignment with organizational objectives.
    • Supervise software testing processes to guarantee the delivery of high-quality, reliable products.
  4. Business Analysis:
    • Lead the Business Analysis team in identifying and analyzing business requirements.
    • Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure effective communication and understanding of business needs.
  5. Innovation and New Opportunities:
    • Stay abreast of industry trends and emerging technologies.
    • Identify new opportunities for technology innovation and propose initiatives to drive business growth.
  6. Strategic Planning:
    • Contribute to the development of IT strategies aligned with overall business goals.
    • Work closely with executive leadership to align IT initiatives with the company's strategic objectives.
  7. KPI Management (To be evaluated within 3 Months):
    • Develop performance roadmap and implement KPIs for the IT team that align with organizational goals.
    • Monitor KPIs closely, ensuring measurable improvements in team performance within the first three months.
    • Specific KPIs include, but are not limited to (based on the metrics set):
      • Project Timeliness: Improve project delivery times.
      • Software and Website Development Efficiency: Achieve a reduction in development cycle time.
      • Testing Effectiveness: Reduce post-release defects
      • Business Analysis Accuracy: Achieve an increase in accuracy of business analysis.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field.
  • Proven experience in a leadership role within IT, demonstrating successful project management and team leadership.
  • Strong understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC) in delivering high quality and scalable software as a product or service.
  • Strong understanding of software and Website development methodologies, testing procedures, and business analysis practices.
  • Practical/Hands-on experience/skills on Software and Website Development.
  • Excellent strategic thinking and problem-solving skills.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
