Job Overview
- We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Health Information Management Officer to join our Customer Service Department.
- The successful candidate will be responsible for managing patient information, ensuring data accuracy, and providing excellent customer service to patients.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain and update patient health records with accuracy and confidentiality.
- Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations and data protection policies.
- Assist patients with inquiries related to their health information and medical records.
- Process requests for medical records and manage the release of information in accordance with hospital policies and legal requirements.
- Collaborate with healthcare providers to ensure timely and accurate documentation of patient information.
- Perform routine audits of health records to ensure data integrity.
- Resolve patient complaints and issues related in a professional and efficient manner.
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance the quality of customer satisfaction.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or HND in Health Information Management.
- Certification in Health Information Management is an added advantage.
- Minimum of 1 years of experience in customer service.
- Knowledge of healthcare regulations and standards
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion and confidentiality.
- Proficiency in health information systems and electronic health records.
