Job Overview

  • We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Health Information Management Officer to join our Customer Service Department.
  • The successful candidate will be responsible for managing patient information, ensuring data accuracy, and providing excellent customer service to patients.

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain and update patient health records with accuracy and confidentiality.
  • Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations and data protection policies.
  • Assist patients with inquiries related to their health information and medical records.
  • Process requests for medical records and manage the release of information in accordance with hospital policies and legal requirements.
  • Collaborate with healthcare providers to ensure timely and accurate documentation of patient information.
  • Perform routine audits of health records to ensure data integrity.
  • Resolve patient complaints and issues related in a professional and efficient manner.
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance the quality of customer satisfaction.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or HND in Health Information Management.
  • Certification in Health Information Management is an added advantage.
  • Minimum of 1 years of experience in customer service.
  • Knowledge of healthcare regulations and standards
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion and confidentiality.
  • Proficiency in health information systems and electronic health records.
