ICT Officer at Neveah Limited

Neveah Limited is a leading commodities trading company essentially dealing in the export of solid minerals and agricultural products. The company was established in 2014 with five operational offices in different states and her head office in Abuja, Nigeria. Our services are centered around sourcing the finest, solid minerals and the healthiest agricultural products from the local market and exporting them to meet the demands of our customers at international markets.

Responsibilities
The ideal candidate will (but is not limited to):

  • Installation, configuration, and maintenance of the organization’s hardware and software components, including servers, networks and peripherals.
  • Provide Level 1 and 2 technical support to staff and incident management to ensure smooth operations and minimize downtime.
  • Implement and maintain security measures to protect IT systems and data from unauthorized access and cyber threats.
  • Develop and maintain documentation of ICT systems, configurations, and procedures.
  • Monitor and enforce compliance with ICT policies, standards, procedures, and regulatory requirements to govern the use of technology resources and protect company assets.
  • Microsoft 365 and Microsoft Dynamics Business Central Administration to manage user accounts, permissions, and access rights, ensuring compliance with security policies.
  • Perform regular maintenance tasks, backups, and disaster recovery procedures on essential infrastructure components to ensure reliability and performance.
  • Conduct daily company website reviews to ensure functionality, accuracy, and security.
  • Provide seamless IT onboarding and offboarding processes for new and departing employees to ensure access to necessary resources.
  • Engage IT vendors and service providers to procure ICT equipment and services to support specific technology needs and initiatives of the organization.
  • Plan and implement ICT Projects, upgrades, and migrations, ensuring minimal disruption to business operations.
  • Facilitate IT-related training sessions to mentor staff on ICT best practices, enhance staff skills and knowledge in proper use of technology tools.
  • Periodic departmental/unit reports

Qualification and Experience

  • Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, MIS or a similar field
  • Proven 7 years working experience as an ICT Officer or relevant experience in Manufacturing Industry.
  • Strong technical knowledge of computer hardware, software, and networks.
  • Proficiency in installing, configuring, administering, and troubleshooting ICT systems.
  • Expertise in Microsoft 365 and Microsoft Dynamics Business Central Administration
  • Experience with operating systems.
  • Hands-on experience with computer networks, network configuration and network administration.
  • Ability to manage personnel.

Required Competencies:

  • Experience in manufacturing or related fields preferred.
  • Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities.
  • Basic shop skills, such as using hand tools.
  • Ability to follow verbal and written instructions.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a desire to effectively support users and collaborate with other team members.
  • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills.
