Nigerian Breweries Plc, the pioneer and largest brewing company in Nigeria, was incorporated in 1946. In June 1949, the company recorded a landmark when the first bottle of STAR lager beer rolled off its Lagos Brewery bottling lines. This first brewery in Lagos has undergone several optimization processes and as at today boasts of the most modern brew house in the country. In 1957, the company commissioned its second brewery in Aba. Kaduna Brewery was commissioned in 1963 while Ibadan Brewery came on stream in 1982. In 1993, the company acquired its fifth brewery in Enugu. In October 2003, a sixth brewery, sited at Ameke, in Enugu State was commissioned and christened Ama Brewery. Ama Brewery is today, the biggest and most modern brewery in Nigeria. Operations in the Old Enugu Brewery were however discontinued in 2004, while the company acquired a malting Plant in Aba in 2008. In October 2011, Nigerian Breweries acquired majority equity interests in Sona Systems Associates Business Management Limited, (Sona Systems) and Life Breweries Limited from Heineken N.V. This followed Heineken’s acquisition of controlling interests in five breweries in Nigeria from Sona Group in January 2011. Sona Systems’ two breweries in Ota and Kaduna, and Life Breweries in Onitsha have now become part of Nigerian Breweries Plc, together with the three brands: Goldberg lager, Malta Gold and Life Continental lager. Thus, from the humble beginning in 1946, the Nigerian Breweries now has eight operational breweries from which its high quality products are distributed to all parts of Nigeria, in addition to the ultra modern malting plant in Aba and Kaduna.

  • Information and Communication Manager is a key position that provide technical, procedural, and operational support to the company’s digital journey to realize the objectives and benefits accruable to digital & technology for efficient and effective decision-making. 

Key Responsibilities 

  • Maintaining high level of customer satisfaction when attending to users’ request
  • Asset Management
  • System maintenance and backup administration
  • Information security management
  • Telecommunications Support
  • Oversee compliance efforts (antivirus and patches) for servers and workstations in the location
  • IT Continuity Support
  • Provide hands-on support on technical IT issues for production network when required
  • Carry out image backup of critical production servers.
  • Provide ad-hoc IT support to ensure continuous brewery operations
  • Ensuring Mean Time to Resolve (MTTR) for all incidents is reduced to minimum
  • Provide IT Support to the connected brewery roadmap

 

Job Requirement

  • University Degree in Computer Science or Computer Engineering, and other related field, at least second class upper 
  • MSc in Computer Science or related field will be an added advantage 
  • 3- 5 years working experience in Digital Technology and Networking
  • Work experience in IT service management, Networking, Cisco Switch Management, LAN and WLAN Management, Virtualization Management
  • Experience in an FMCG environment is an added advantage 
  • Knowledge on Cisco Networking (CCNA will be an added advantage)
  • Knowledge on Microsoft SCCM
  • Knowledge of IT service Management (ITILv4 would be an added advantage)
  • Advanced presentation and communication skills
  • Excellent hands-on systems administration (client and server) and virtualization skills
  • Computer network configuration and troubleshooting skills
  • Database Management (Microsoft SQL would be an advantage)
  • Office 365 (Power BI, PowerApps and Power Automate will be added advantage)
