Job Brief
- Information and Communication Technology Officer organization will be responsible for programs on website and social media platforms, being a reference point for all IT-related queries at the user level, responding to user needs on time, and ensuring the optimal running of all systems, among other technical duties.
Main Responsibilities
- Identifying hardware and software solutions.
- Troubleshooting technical issues
- Ensuring regular updates on the organization’s website and social media spaces
- Be responsible for the organization’s social media handles
- Diagnosing and repairing ICT faults.
- Resolving network issues.
- Installing and configuring hardware and software
- Speaking to staff to quickly get to the root of their problems.
- Supporting the roll-out of new applications
- Providing support in the form of procedural documentation.
- Compiling and writing organization annual reports
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or related field
- 2+ years’ experience in computer networks and systems maintenance
- Demonstrate experience working in IT operations at a similar level
- Experience of working in the NGO sector
- Good knowledge and experience with Microsoft Office applications – Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
- Good knowledge of networking technologies and systems – Internet, LAN switches, wireless access points, and VPNs
- Evidence of strong attention to detail, accuracy, and ability to follow and develop processes
- Evidence of good organizational, analytical, oral, and written communication skills in English; and ability to work well in teams
