Responsibilities:
- Design, deploy, maintain, and troubleshoot Firewall, Proxy, DNS, and Load Balancer environment as per Corporate and security standards.
- Implement and support multivendor Firewall platforms featuring Checkpoint and FortiGate Firewalls.
- Design, support, and maintain HTTP/HTTPS and SOCKS Proxies environment featuring Bluecoat SG series and McAfee appliances.
- Monitoring and checking all Firewalls, Proxies, and related equipment as needed.
- Maintain and organize reporting information and documentation on client current technology for Management review.
- Produce and maintain high to detailed levels of documentation as required for all Checkpoint, Fortinet, F5, Infoblox, McAfee, and Bluecoat environments.
- Perform routine maintenance functions for all systems including OS upgrades, hardware fixes, etc
- Work closely with the Information Security team to implement, verify, and review Security policies.
- Interact with multiple Business Units and groups for Project planning and troubleshooting.
- Adhere to the controls, policies, and procedures put forth by ITP. This is done in context to Proactively Manage IT risks, develop predictability within core missions, reduce impact to the production environment, and improve stability and visibility through documentation.
- Creates the design and processes of the security architecture.
- Executes key tasks to assist with the strategic plan; develops and executes strategic tasks to fulfill the information security program requirements.
- Tests, recommends and implements solutions to assist the IT infrastructure.
- Manages, administrates, and supports all infrastructure systems.
- Perform hands-on tests to validate customer proof-of-concept setups, Data Center and/or Campus network designs, and network deployments using new products and features.
- Put together design guidelines and recommend improvements to customers for the networks they support.
- Serves as a top-tier escalation point for Service Desk requests.
- Manages LAN/WAN infrastructure.
- Monitors and tests the performance of systems and provides performance reports and stats.
Requirements:
- A degree in computer science, IT, or a related subject is preferred.
- Good to have CCNA, CCNP, or any other Network-related Certificate.
- 3+ years of relevant experience: Installing, configuring, and maintaining routers, firewalls, switches, and various server systems.
- Cloud networking experience
- Advanced knowledge of Active Directory, and Group Policy management with diverse skills in advanced security solutions such as NAC, PAM, IAM, IPS/IDS, and Micro segmentation.
- Experience in; Advanced NGFW Firewall, IPS/IDS, Security Architecture Design, AV, EDR/Advanced Endpoint, SEIM/Security Analysis, Security Operations, Email Security, VPN, Encryption, MFA, IAM, LAN/WAN, Route/Switch, Virtualization, DLP, Windows, Incident Response, Regulatory Compliance
- Expert knowledge in Ethernet, RSTP/ MSTP, VLANs, IP Routing, TCP/IP, OSPF, BGP, eBGP, VxLAN, Multicast, Spanning Tree, QoS
- Ability to work independently.
- Thorough understanding of installation, configuration, and optimization of F5 LTM/GTM load balancing, Checkpoint, Fortinet, McAfee, or Blue Coat (HTTP/Socks) and DNS/DHCP Infoblox.
- Knowledge of TCP/IP fundamentals and network security technologies such as Clustering, Transparent mode, SSL/VPN, and CLI commands (Bash, shell, IOS…).
- Thorough understanding of Checkpoint Multi-Domain Server and Fortinet Management tools.
- Experience with HP Network Automation, SolarWinds, and/or Zabbix is an advantage.
