The Corona College of Education implements teacher professional development programmes through its Consult Unit targeted at building capacities of teachers and school administrators. The college has worked with training organisations and other tertiary institutions for over 12 years and has gained significant insight into teacher training. The impact of the training on teacher quality has been long-lasting.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and maintain the college’s computer systems, network, and servers.
  • Provide technical support to staff and students
  • Install, configure, and troubleshoot software and hardware.
  • Ensure data security, backups, and disaster recovery systems are in place.
  • Monitor system performance and implement upgrades as necessary.
  • Maintain records of IT assets and update documentation regularly.

Qualifications and Requirements:

  • A Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or related field.
  • Proven experience in IT administration at the tertiary level will be an advantage.
  • Strong knowledge of network systems, cybersecurity, and system administration.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite, Moodle, Exam.net, Windows and Linux environments.
  • Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
