- The IT maintenance officer will ensure the smooth operation and maintenance of the organization's IT infrastructure and systems.
- This role involves performing regular maintenance tasks, troubleshooting technical issues, and implementing upgrades and improvements to optimize system performance.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
- Perform routine weekly maintenance tasks to ensure the reliability and stability of the organization's IT systems, including servers, networks, hardware, and software.
- Monitor system performance and identify areas for improvement or optimization
- Troubleshoot technical issues, diagnose problems, and implement solutions to minimize downtime and disruption
- Install, configure, and maintain hardware and software components, including operating systems, applications, and peripherals
- Implement security measures and protocols to protect the organization's IT assets from cyber threats and unauthorized access
- Document maintenance procedures, troubleshooting steps, and system configurations to ensure accuracy and consistency
- Attend to other assigned tasks
QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor's degree in information technology, computer science or related field
- Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in IT maintenance, support or related field
- Strong technical skills and knowledge of IT infrastructure, including servers, networks, operating systems and software applications
- Familiarity with IT security principles and practices, including antivirus software, firewalls and data encryption
- Ability to work independently and prioritize taks effectively in a fast paced environment
