Job Summary:
- The IT Manager is responsible for overseeing and managing all aspects of the Information Technology (IT) department within the organization.
- This role involves planning, coordinating, and executing IT initiatives to ensure the efficient operation of technology systems and services, as well as supporting the organization's strategic goals.
- The IT Manager will play a crucial role in maintaining the organization's IT infrastructure, managing a team of IT professionals, and ensuring the security and compliance of IT operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Strategic Planning: Collaborate with senior management to develop and align IT strategies with the organization's objectives.
- Create and manage IT budgets and resource allocation to support strategic initiatives.
- Team Management: Supervise, mentor, and lead a team of IT professionals, including network administrators, system administrators, and support staff.
- Conduct performance evaluations and provide training and development opportunities.
- Infrastructure Management: Oversee the design, implementation, and maintenance of the organization's IT infrastructure, including servers, network systems, and cloud services.
- Ensure the availability, reliability, and scalability of IT systems.
- Security and Compliance: Establish and enforce security policies and procedures to protect the organization's data and systems.
- Monitor and respond to security incidents, conduct regular security audits, and ensure compliance with relevant regulations and standards.
- Vendor Management: Manage relationships with IT vendors, negotiate contracts, and evaluate vendor performance to ensure the best value for the organization.
- Project Management: Plan and oversee IT projects, including software and hardware implementations, upgrades, and migrations.
- Ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and meet quality standards.
- Support and Troubleshooting: Provide technical support and guidance to end-users, troubleshooting IT issues, and maintaining the helpdesk system.
- Ensure a high level of customer satisfaction through effective support services.
- Disaster Recovery and Business Continuity: Develop and maintain disaster recovery and business continuity plans to ensure IT systems can recover quickly from disruptions.
- Technology Evaluation: Stay current with industry trends and emerging technologies, and evaluate their potential to enhance the organization's IT capabilities.
- Documentation and Reporting: Maintain documentation for IT systems, processes, and policies.
- Prepare regular reports for management and stakeholders on IT performance and key metrics.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field. Master's degree or relevant certifications (e.g., CISSP, PMP) is a plus.
- Proven experience in IT management, with a minimum of 8 years of relevant work experience.
- Strong knowledge of IT infrastructure, network management, and security best practices.
- Exceptional leadership and team management skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Strong project management skills with the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously.
- Sound knowledge of industry regulations and compliance standards.
- Proficiency in IT budgeting and financial management.
