  • The IT Manager will serve as a key liaison between the organization’s IT department and internal/external stakeholders, ensuring seamless delivery of IT services. This role requires proactive engagement with project teams, external vendors, and service providers to maintain operational excellence.

We serve military, medical, academic and government clients by administering, managing, and supporting preeminent scientific programs that benefit members of the armed forces and civilians alike. Since its founding in 1983, HJF has served as a vital link between the military medical community and its federal and private partners. HJF's support and administrative capabilities allow military medical researchers and clinicians to maintain their scientific focus and accomplish their research goals.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate Daily IT Operations: Ensure the smooth running of IT systems, resolve service desk issues, and oversee the delivery of IT services across the organization.
  • Manage IT Assets: Track and maintain IT hardware and software inventory, ensure availability of critical resources, and handle procurement/disposal in line with policies.
  • Implement and Monitor IT Security Measures: Administer and enforce IT security policies, perform system audits, and ensure compliance with global and local security standards.
  • Support Infrastructure and Cloud Services: Manage on-premises and cloud-based systems to ensure performance, scalability, and availability.
  • Collaborate with Stakeholders: Liaise with internal and external teams to identify IT needs, propose solutions, and implement projects that support business goals.
  • Contribute actively toward annual budget preparation: Participate in IT budget forecasting, track expenditures, and align resources to ensure cost efficiency.
  • May perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned or directed by the supervisor. This may include attendance of and participation in required training for role.

Supervisory Responsibilities

  • Assigned Lead: May recommend the following: employee hiring, disciplinary action, and starting salaries; provide input on employee performance evaluations.

Qualifications
Education and Experience

  • Bachelor’s Degree is required. Masters Degree preferred
  • Minimum of 6-8 years of experience required.

Work Environment

  • This position will take place primarily in an office setting.
