Job Overview

  • The IT Operations Engineer Lead will lead a small team that manages the day-to-day activities of batch processing activities as well as analyze all alerts generated by monitoring solutions and will take necessary actions based on the documented processes and provide technical support.

Responsibilities

  • Lead, mentor, and motivate the Operations Command Center support team.
  • Good knowledge of Card and Payment industry.
  • Visa and Mastercard settlement clearing application ownership and provide L1 support.
  • Way4 SOD process monitoring and Client SLA Reporting
  • Incident management as per ourpolicies & Change control life cycle
  • Keeping stakeholders updated through various channels.
  • Follow organization policies and procedures.
  • Handling Financial file processing-related failures and ensuring processing of incoming outgoing interchange within agreed SLA.
  • Provide support to the projects team for change monitoring.
  • Handle automation tools like Control-M, CMS systems, ticketing tools
  • Query handling from various internal / externals teams, clients, schemes etc. like Customer Support teams, Merchant Support, Solution Design, PMs, Business teams, Internal Operations teams, external service providers like Visa, Mastercard etc.
  • Understanding of financial files and its business impact.
  • Understands Service/Disaster recovery process and readiness of Production and DR systems in sync using replication tools.
  • Documentation of L1 tasks.
  • Report all production issues and highlight risks to management.
  • Manage and handle the team in absence of the Team Leader in day-to-day activities and coordinate with the team.

Qualifications / Skills

  • Bachelor’s Degree (preferable in IT)
  • Experience in leading a small technical team
  • Hands-on technical experience
  • 4+ years of IT experience.
  • Proficient in English.
  • Strong Knowledge of Card and Payment industry.
  • Proficient in the use of MS Office, and statistical and database applications.
  • Strong critical and analytical thinking skills.
  • UNIX/Windows/SQL/Oracle working knowledge.
  • ITIL process familiarity
  • Automation skills using any automation tools/scripts.
  • Exceptional communication and coordination skills
  • Strong multitasking and problem-solving abilities
  • Effective time management
