Job Description
POS System Management:
- Install, configure, and maintain point-of-sale systems.
- Troubleshoot and resolve any issues related to POS hardware or software.
- Ensure seamless integration of POS systems with other restaurant technologies.
Network Administration:
- Manage and maintain the restaurant's computer networks.
- Monitor network performance, troubleshoot connectivity issues, and ensure reliable internet access.
- Implement security measures to protect the network from cyber threats.
- Network devices maintenance & advice, and facilitates IT equipment purchases and repairs.
- Manage Microsoft accounts and applications, creates and deactivates on request by the HR/Management
- Manages licenses and applications’ activations
Hardware and Software Maintenance:
- Conduct regular checks on computer hardware and peripherals.
- Install, update, and configure software applications used in the restaurant.
- Perform routine maintenance to optimize system performance.
- Perform equipment routine checks and preventive maintenance to ensure all devices are in good working condition
Data Backup and Recovery:
- Develop and implement a robust data backup and recovery plan.
- Regularly backup critical restaurant data and test recovery procedures.
User Support:
- Provide technical support to restaurant staff for IT-related issues.
- Train employees on the proper use of technology systems.
- Document and maintain an IT support knowledge base.
- Recommends new features and/or changes so to configure workflows based on user requirements and feedback
Security Management:
- Implement and enforce IT security policies to safeguard sensitive information.
- Stay current with security trends and proactively address potential vulnerabilities.
- Create and administer security for software
Vendor Management:
- Collaborate with external IT vendors for system upgrades and issue resolution.
- Evaluate vendor proposals and recommend solutions that align with restaurant needs.
- Follow up on software renewals and service payments
Inventory Management:
- Track and manage IT inventory, including hardware and software licenses.
- Coordinate the procurement of new IT equipment as needed.
Compliance and Regulations:
- Ensure compliance with relevant data protection regulations and industry standards.
- Stay informed about changes in IT laws and regulations affecting the restaurant.
System Troubleshooting:
- Administer issues’ tracking and change requests.
- Collaborates and escalates more complex issues to third- parties for resolution.
ERP & Software Management:
- Ensures the reliable performance of the ERP systems and software.
- Provide 1st level support i.e. troubleshoots and resolves basic ERP issues related to hardware, software, user access and/or any other problems.
- Participates in projects to gather user requirements, design, configuration, test, and implementation of ERP systems and applications.
- Coordinates new software releases, fixes and upgrades with technical terms and users.
Requirements
- B.Sc / HND in Computer Science or related discipline
- 2-5 years experience in supporting business applications (ERPs)
- Experience in dashboarding software (Google data, PowerBI, Tableau, etc.)
- Advanced skills in excel.
- Expertise in analytical analysis, cross-tabular analysis, multiple variables, etc.
- Strong technical problem solving and analytical skills.
- Proven ability to trouble shoots and debug.
